What the world doesn’t know is that the USA fought tooth and nail to host this World Cup, and were at the forefront of a massive investigation into voter bribery following the controversial awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar.
Then FIFA Executive Committee member Chuck Blazer, who resided at the Trump Towers with his cats (coincidence?), was forced by the FBI to wear a wire and record meetings of the highest football decision-making body, over and above intimate conversations with his colleagues.
That formed the basis of the infamous Zurich raid in 2015 during the FIFA Congress, engineered by then US Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Swiss Federal Prosecutor Michael Lauber.
Gianni Infantino, then Secretary General of UEFA, had been planted as a spy to cripple Michel Platini’s ascent to the FIFA Presidency, where he shared details of a suspicious payment to law enforcement prompting Swiss/French criminal charges and Platini’s eventual resignation as UEFA President and FIFA President heir apparent.
Gianni Infantino’s FIFA presidency was choreographed by state interference because Michael Lauber, the Swiss prosecutor who staged the Zurich arrests, was later removed from office after it emerged that he had been collaborating with Gianni Infantino in influencing cases and engineering arrests/blocking of prospective opponents.
Loretta Lynch later emerged as a FIFA consultant, addressing meetings and earning hefty allowances after her retirement as AG.
And based on that history, the USA bullied its way into hosting the 2026 World Cup.
Were it not for those judicial interventions and further threats of arrests, the United States would NEVER win any vote fair and square because everyone knows of these visa hurdles, ethnic profiling, racism and price prohibitions for ordinary fans to attend the tournament.
The reports of the deportation of Somali referee Abdulkadir Artan, the disgraceful strip-search of the Senegal team upon arrival, the refusal to grant Iran visas forcing them to camp in Tijuana, Mexico is contrary to the spirit of the beautiful game.
And African countries should consider boycotting this bogus edition.
Gianni Infantino the puppet FIFA President continues to loot the world football governing body with reckless abandon, imposing a puppet Patrice Motsepe as CAF President.
The continental body is now staffed with more Europeans than Africans, and African heads of state are watching as our football is mortgaged to colonialists as they grant audience to the Swiss-Italian conman who has not embarked on any legacy projects in the continent.
During Sepp Blatter’s presidency, there was a Win in Africa with Africa program and the GOAL Bureau, where all the football association (FA) headquarters, training grounds and artificial turfs were donated by FIFA.
Gianni Infantino is just looting football coffers with impunity, as he bribes FA Presidents with handouts and hoodwinks heads of state with cheap words and empty rhetoric.
Just like Donald Trump has turned out to be a curse unto the world, so is Gianni Infantino to football.
